Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Officer role in a variety of regions throughout the U.S. The Business Development Officer will identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities with insurance agencies, brokers, and other partners in the specialty finance space. Responsibilities include building and maintaining strong client relationships, presenting and explaining financing solutions, and negotiating terms in alignment with company guidelines. The role involves conducting market research, analyzing client needs and risk profiles, and collaborating with internal finance and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery. The Business Development Officer will also track performance metrics, prepare reports, participate in industry events, and provide ongoing customer support to drive retention and portfolio growth.

Qualifications

• New Business Development skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and relationship building with insurance and finance sector partners.
• Analytical Skills to evaluate financial information, assess risk, interpret market trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Finance knowledge, preferably in specialty finance or insurance premium finance, with the ability to understand pricing, terms, and basic credit concepts.
• Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and effective negotiation.
• Customer Service skills focused on responsive client support, problem solving, and long-term relationship management.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within financial services or insurance is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Comfort working in a target-driven environment, with organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and priorities on-site.
