Hello there!

Leven Bakery & Cafe, located at 4191 Bellaire Blvd suite #125 is looking for talented, hardworking, and highly motivated prep cook to join our opening team.

Start date: ASAP
Available for AM/or PM prep shifts
English speaking a plus but not essential.

  Role summary:
As a Prep Cook at Leven, you’ll support the kitchen by ensuring all ingredients and stations are ready for service on a daily basis. You’re the foundational player: you get the setup right so that the line runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

• Complete the daily prep-list: wash, peel, chop, portion, label ingredients ahead of service.
• Stock and rotate ingredients in storage, fridge/freezer and work stations; ensure freshness and proper storage.
• Set up workstations for service: lay out ingredients, tools, cookware, and ensure cleanliness.
• Maintain your station (and subordinate prep areas) during service: keep surfaces clean, organized, utensils ready.
• After shift, assist with closing duties (if needed): clean/sanitize station, gather leftovers, record used stock, update inventory list for the next day.
  
  Skills/qualifications:
• Basic knife skills and comfort with repeating prep tasks under pressure.
• Attention to detail, ability to follow directions and recipes through computer applications (not paper)
• Good stamina: standing for long periods, lifting up to ~50 lbs.
• Commitment to food‐safety, sanitation standards.
