Position Summary

Hocker Polytechnik Inc. is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with customers throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. This position is responsible for managing the complete sales process from prospecting through order for pneumatic transport systems serving the woodworking and recycling industries.

Engineering, system design, quotations, equipment layouts, and project management are performed by our US headquarters team in Thomasville, North Carolina.

Territory: North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee
Location: Home-based within the territory with frequent regional travel. Close to Head Quarter in Thomasville preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with end users.
• Conduct customer visits to evaluate application requirements and identify project opportunities.
• Present Hocker Polytechnik ́s pneumatic conveying and material handling solutions to prospective customers.
• Manage the sales process from initial contact through contract.
• Qualify customer needs and communicate project requirements to the engineering team.
• Coordinate with headquarters to ensure accurate and timely proposal development.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within established company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of customer activities, opportunities, and forecasts in the company's CRM (Method) system.
• Represent Hocker Polytechnik at trade shows, customer events, and industry meetings.
• Achieve annual sales objectives and growth targets.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of sales experience in industrial equipment (wood industry), manufacturing, dust collection, pneumatic conveying or related technical products.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee (approximately 50–70%).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight as required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
