Role Overview The Junior Accountant role is an entry-level position that supports our agency's Accounting Department. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented and accountable, able to follow agency policies and procedures, enjoy working as a part of a team and eager to learn and grown in their career. Your key responsibilities may include: Daily bookkeeping with an emphasis on deposit processing Recording and reconciling incoming funds across various payment types (EPAY batches, wires, ACH payments, physical checks) from clients and vendors Assisting to keep accounts balanced and accurate Performing reconciliations, updating accounts receivable, and issuing invoices Processing financial entries to ensure a proper recording of all business transactions Updating financial data in databases to ensure the accuracy of the information Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports Requirements Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance 1-3 years work experience in Accounting Insurance industry experience is a bonus Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel Must be able to work on-site in Miami, FL
