About the Role:


BigRio LLC is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Management Consultant to support our clients in genetic testing and diagnostics . This role optimizes billing operations, improves payer reimbursement, and reduces revenue leakage-particularly for high-complexity lab services .


The ideal candidate has a strong background in laboratory billing , with hands-on experience navigating payer requirements for genetic and molecular testing . This is a client-facing role, ideal for someone who can assess, advise, and implement RCM best practices in fast-paced, growth-oriented lab environments.



Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and enhance full-cycle billing and reimbursement processes for laboratory services
• Identify denial trends, underpayments, and revenue leakage; implement corrective actions
• Support genetic and molecular test coding, billing compliance, and payer engagement
• Advise clients on prior authorizations, documentation standards, and eligibility workflows
• Collaborate with client teams (finance, operations, compliance) to align billing strategies
• Provide RCM performance insights through data analysis and reporting
• Recommend improvements to existing RCM systems and technology platforms

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of RCM experience in clinical or molecular/genetic laboratories
• In-depth understanding of payer billing practices and reimbursement models for lab services
• Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding, pre-authorization, and claims management
• Familiarity with lab billing systems (e.g., Xifin, Telcor, CollaborateMD, Waystar)
• Proven ability to reduce denials and accelerate collections
• Comfortable working in a client-facing consulting role

Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant certifications a plus (e.g., CRCS, CMRS, CPC)
