Assistant Director, Product Management (Enterprise Data & Analytics)

What You'll DoAs an Assistant Director of Product Management in our Enterprise Data & Analytics organization, you'll lead a team of Product Managers in defining and executing on product strategy for our data product families. You’ll influence enterprise-wide decisions through data-informed product leadership, champion best-in-class practices, and foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence.Our Enterprise Data and Analytics organization provides data, insights, reports, and tools to teams and individuals throughout our business and analytics community. Needs range from understanding customer behavior to financial patterns to knowing better how we work. We dig in deeply with requests to address not just the ask, but the underlying needs for now and the future to come.You’ll have the opportunity to:Work with Product Management leadership to drive optimization including advocation of product management as a practiceLead and coach a passionate team of Product Management professionalsProvide product oversight to the current prioritization, planning and execution process, including finding ways to optimize all phasesDevelop and lead a consolidated product family strategy and roadmap that can be leveraged for customer (internal PFG) transparency into the work prioritized and in progressAct as a representative for EDA as we enable enterprise strategic initiatives, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and partnersAssist other product families, as needed, to maintain individual product/product stack roadmaps and product outlook documents, work through discovery efforts, and stakeholder managementOperating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Our mission, integrity, and customer focus have made us a trusted leader for more than 140 years.Who You Are8+ years of business, technology, or product management experience; or equivalent demonstrated through the following: work experience, military experience, or education5+ years working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced product environment2+ years of informal or formal leadership experienceProven success in driving product outcomes in a multi-product environment while establishing business strategy for multiple products and helping others establish product strategyDemonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery and the ability to mentor that in othersUnderstanding of various approaches and tools for research, synthesis, ideation, and testing in a dynamic dual track discovery and delivery loopProven success building positive relationships with different functional partners with the ability to collaborate, work and influence at all levels within an organizationExcellent communication skills, including the ability to establish relationships and influence business partnersSkills that will help you stand outProduct Management experienceExperience optimizing ways of working for product and delivery teamsExperience with Data and Analytic ProductsSalary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)$130000 - $165000 / year Time Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
