Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic medical/surgical unit that also accommodates ICU and PCU patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to handle all acuity types and maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with diverse medical needs, including those in critical condition.
• Assume responsibility for patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of patient care.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Participate in the ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes and quality improvement initiatives.

Shift Information

This position requires night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, with a weekend rotation and coverage for every other holiday. Additionally, standby call may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required, certification must be from the American Heart Association.
• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in medical-surgical and progressive care units is required.
• Travelers must pass a telemetry exam prior to the start of the assignment.
• If this is your first travel assignment, a minimum of 5 years of RN experience is required.

Contract Options

We are open to offering a 48-hour work contract to candidates willing to work more weekends.
