Associate Director, Medical Grants and IIS Operations

This is a hybrid position, onsite three days a week. You will report to the Director, Head of Global Medical Grants & IIS Operations. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Partner closely with the Director for Grants & IIS to redesign the grants intake and approval process for an end‑to‑end enterprise approach across all grant activities. Support strategic evaluation of all grant applications, ensuring compliant review and processing, and liaise with finance stakeholders to maintain compliance and alignment with budget. Evaluate, track, and close out IISs in close alignment with disease area leads. Ensure policies reflect the highest levels of ethics and compliance, with review based solely on scientific merit and alignment with prespecified scope. Lead Grants Review Committees, ensuring required voting members are present at each meeting and outcomes are documented. Govern and develop an industry‑leading Grants program, driving continuous improvement and providing subject‑matter expertise to train Medical colleagues globally. Provide regular impact metrics of approved and ongoing grants, including milestones. Support the broader team with a positive, solutions‑focused, innovative and collaborative mindset. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required; MD/PharmD/PhD equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotherapeutics industry experience. Experience in drug safety, pharmacovigilance, quality assurance and compliance requirements is desirable. 3+ years of Medical Affairs Leadership experience.
