We are seeking an experienced Licensed Plumber and Plumbing Manager to lead and grow our plumbing department. This role is ideal for a strong technical professional who also excels in leadership, operations, and revenue generation. The Plumbing Manager will oversee service technicians and installers, ensure code compliance, review and sign permits, and play a key role in closing jobs and creating accurate estimates.

This position is hands-on, leadership-driven, and critical to maintaining quality, efficiency, and profitability across the department.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Manage, mentor, and support plumbing service technicians and installers
• Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
• Assist with training, coaching, and performance accountability
• Coordinate scheduling, workflow, and job completion with office staff

Technical & Compliance

• Read, interpret, and review blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Review, pull, and sign permits as the licensed plumbing authority
• Ensure all work complies with plumbing codes
• Act as the point of contact for inspectors and municipalities as needed
• Review all in-house work for quality and compliance

Revenue & Operations

• Drive revenue by:
• • Closing out jobs properly
  • Reviewing and approving invoices
  • Assisting with or creating plumbing estimates
  • Identifying upsell and replacement opportunities where appropriate
• Ensure accurate job costing, documentation, and billing
• Support service-to-install conversions and larger project estimates
• Help refine pricing, scopes of work, and operational processes

Administrative & Systems

• Review job notes, photos, and documentation for completeness
• Ensure permits, inspections, and close-outs are handled correctly
• Work within ServiceTitan to review jobs, invoices, and estimates
• Collaborate with ownership and management on department growth and strategy

Qualifications

• Active Plumbing License (required – must be able to pull and sign permits)
• 5+ years of hands-on plumbing experience
• Proven experience managing or leading plumbing teams
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes, inspections, and permitting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
• Experience with service, install, and project-based plumbing work
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service software (preferred)
