Junior Staff Accountant

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and desire to learn and grow! The candidate will play a key role in supporting clients across a wide range of industries and business sizes. In this role, strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as our team functions in many capacities to help clients achieve their specific goals. Please note that this is an IN‑PERSON position, applicants must be able to reliably commute to our Austintown, Ohio location. Responsibilities and Opportunities Prepare corporate and individual income tax returns; assist in estimating tax liabilities and implementing client tax strategies Prepare financial statements, analyze financial data, and support monthly closings and year‑end reporting Record journal entries, maintain general ledger operations, and reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts Identify anomalies in accounting records and help develop solutions for clients Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and basic budgeting and forecasting Assist with audit preparation and help maintain internal financial controls and procedures Collaborate with team members at all levels through team meetings, continuing education, and community involvement Skills and Abilities 4 year degree or currently working toward a degree may apply. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data. Highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets. A minimum of 2 years experience in accounting is preferred but not mandatory. Will train for position. Salary dependent on experience and education.
