Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Location: Youngstown, Ohio

Job Type: Contract to hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Pay Rate : $23/hour

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist. This role will support key functions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable managing a high volume of financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Enter vouchers and invoices accurately into the accounting system
• Perform 3-way invoice matching
• Reconcile company credit card transactions
• Prepare and build check runs
• Cut checks and process payments in a timely manner

Accounts Receivable:

• Post customer payments
• Process remote deposits
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Enter daily transactions and reconcile activity to daily sheets

Payroll:

• Enter employee timesheets
• Process new hire information
• Print payroll checks
• Assist with ACH payroll deposits

Qualifications:

• Accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills are required
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (GP) is required
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow established processes and meet deadlines
