Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Sign Language Interpreter
A great school district in the Oxnard, CA area is now looking to hire a Sign Language Interpreter for a full-time opening. Previous experience working with children is desired, but not required for this school-based job. Responsibilities
Provide accurate, real-time sign language interpretation for students in classroom and school settings
Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
Interpret across settings (instruction, meetings, extracurricular activities) as needed
Collaborate with teachers and special education teams to support student access
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards
Adapt interpreting style to meet individual student communication needs
Assist with note-taking or clarification when appropriate
Support an inclusive, accessible learning environment
Experience:
Previous experience in schools preferred, but not required
Requirements:
4.0 EIPA score
Passed written test
