Pay Range : $23/HR+, depending on experience

A stable and growing Nashville company is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join its team. This position will support day-to-day payroll operations and help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with numbers and confidential information, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. This is a great opportunity for someone with payroll, accounting, HR, or administrative experience who would like to continue developing their payroll expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing biweekly payroll
• Review employee timecards and payroll information for accuracy and completeness
• Enter and update employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and direct deposit information
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions
• Assist with calculating overtime, bonuses, commissions, PTO, and other payroll-related items
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee documentation
• Work closely with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure accurate employee and payroll information
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and compensation information
• Provide additional administrative and accounting support as needed

Qualifications

• 1+ years of payroll, accounting, HR, or related administrative experience preferred
• Experience with payroll or HRIS systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working with numbers and meeting payroll deadlines
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
