Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care / Family Medicine

Location: Pensacola, FL

Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–7:30 PM; Saturday–Sunday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

Training: 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide evidence-based primary and family care to patients in a collaborative clinical care environment. The ideal candidate will have recent primary care or urgent care experience and the ability to independently assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of patient health concerns.

Candidates must have at least one year of recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, routine examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Manage acute and chronic health conditions using evidence-based practices.
• Provide health counseling, preventive screenings, and wellness education.
• Support chronic disease management and encourage patients to participate in their healthcare.
• Order and complete appropriate diagnostic tests to evaluate illnesses and injuries.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Complete patient follow-ups and maintain accurate medical records.
• Perform administrative duties, including opening and closing the clinic, managing inventory, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Collaborate with the clinical care team to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of employment, in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• Working knowledge of chronic disease management and quality measurement.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing clinical needs.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and information technology.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses if required.

Schedule Requirements

• Training is scheduled for 40 hours per week.
• Regular hours may fall between 8:30 AM and 7:30 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM on weekends.
• Unless otherwise specified, the position requires working three out of every six weekends.
• Holiday rotations may be required.
• An on-call rotation may be required.
• Occasional travel to other locations for coverage may be necessary.
