Senior Tax Accountant

Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Burlington, NC, supporting DualVision's shift from transactional tax prep to proactive advisory work. Reporting to the Tax Manager, this role leads complex tax preparation and compliance work for business and individual clients across our core niches, while playing an active part in the advisory process — quarterly strategy meetings, tax planning recommendations, and year-round client support. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing returns prepared by team members, performing tax research, analyzing financial statements for planning purposes, and resolving issues with tax authorities. This role also contributes to process improvement as we continue building infrastructure that scales beyond any one person, stays current on tax law changes, and may mentor junior staff and interns. Qualifications Strong skills in tax compliance and preparation, with the ability to manage complex individual and business returns Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and reporting requirements Solid accounting and financial statement analysis skills for both tax and advisory purposes Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or EA credential preferred Several years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a similar professional services environment Strong analytical and research skills with high attention to detail Ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients — this role is client-facing, not just filing-facing Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team managing multiple engagements and deadlines Proficiency with tax software Pro-Connect; IRS correspondence/resolution experience a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr DualVision Inc
