Patient Admin Specialist Location: Newark, CA (Fully Onsite) Pay Rate: $35/hr Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM About the Opportunity We are seeking a Patient Admin Specialist to support the Urologic Oncology (Uro-Oncology) and Thoracic Oncology departments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating new patient appointments, assisting with referrals, and ensuring patients are prepared for their upcoming visits and procedures. Responsibilities Answer and return incoming new patient calls in a professional and friendly manner Manage multiple incoming calls while maintaining a positive patient experience Enter and process new patient referrals Send new patient welcome emails and required intake paperwork Collect and verify patient insurance information prior to scheduled appointments Monitor and triage calls from work queues Provide patients with instructions to help them prepare for appointments, examinations, and procedures Confirm patient appointments and communicate important appointment details Resolve scheduling conflicts and make necessary appointment adjustments Maintain accurate patient scheduling and documentation records Qualifications Experience scheduling patient appointments in a healthcare setting Strong multitasking and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage a high volume of calls and work effectively from multiple queues Experience tracking patient information and maintaining accurate records Strong time management skills and attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newark, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
