SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated and service-focused Outreach Specialist to engage with customers, identify their employment and career needs, and connect them with resources and services that support their success. In this role, the Outreach Specialist will provide exceptional customer service while supporting outreach efforts, scheduling, organization, and the ongoing coordination and maintenance of career services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with career services to assist with greeting new and returning customers.
• Perform outreach via phone/home visits/e-mail.
• Provide weekly home/employment visits to customers to increase customer engagement.
• Schedule/plan monthly networking night and ensure customer involvement.
• Perform weekly timesheet audits for retention and active caseloads.
• Responsible for re-engaging those Customers who were engaged but who subsequently terminated participation.  
• Actively share information about outreach and engagement efforts with Case Managers.  
• Inform Case Managers of any barriers identified that routinely prevent the customer from engaging fully with the Provider.  

• Work autonomously with a strong sense of focus, task-oriented, non-judgmental, open personal qualities, and clear sense of boundaries.  
• Energetic, resilient, and outcome-driven; ability to perform and maintain outcomes within a fast-paced environment.  
• Work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally aware and appropriate.

• Work with individuals during times of crisis.  
• Travel and conduct site visits at customers’ homes, employment, and work experience sites.  May conduct outreach at community access such as libraries. 
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Associates degree or related experience working in an office setting.

• Experience working in an outcome-driven environment, with disadvantaged populations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the organization staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, and exercise good judgment and discretion.
• Must be goal-oriented with a proven track record of success with performance goals.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives. Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The duties of this job may involve physical activities such as mobility within the workspace, remaining in a seated or standing position, and engaging in effective communication through various mediums.
