In this role, you will help keep the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position plays an important part in supporting food safety, organization, and overall restaurant operations.
Responsibilities- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Load, operate, and unload dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep dish areas, sinks, floors, and surrounding work areas clean and organized.
- Assist with trash removal, recycling, and general kitchen cleaning tasks as needed.
- Sort and store clean items in proper locations for easy kitchen access.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members to support smooth service.
- Report equipment issues or supply shortages to a supervisor promptly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation and safety practices is helpful.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
