Job Title and Location Intern – OMB Office of the Ombudsman, Washington, D.C. Application period: 9June2026 – 28June2026, 11:59PM Eastern Time. Part‑time position. This role is ideal for someone interested in multilateral, public health, organizational culture, learning design, and workplace well‑being. Responsibilities Support the development of internal communications and intranet site for the Ombudsperson and services at PAHO and other WHO regional ombuds offices. Assist in content creation, research, and design of engaging learning materials. Support the preparation of surveys, compile collected data, gather feedback, and analyze data to help improve training effectiveness. Education Currently in the final academic year of a bachelor’s degree, or enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program, or graduated within the last two years from a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program. Academic work or research in a related subject area. Field and/or developing country experience. Data analysis using statistical packages and an interest in designing graphical displays for comparative health information. Familiarity with common computer programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of specialized software (e.g., statistical software such as XLStat) is an advantage. Benefits and Conditions Living allowance stipend and travel expenses covered by PAHO. Medical insurance covering medical expenses, death, and permanent disability for the duration of the internship. Interns must obtain and finance necessary visas, if required. Interns are not eligible for PAHO appointments for six months following completion of the internship.
