Senior Oracle Database Administrator

IDR is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for a hybrid opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. This role involves managing and optimizing enterprise Oracle database environments across a hybrid cloud landscape, including OCI, AWS, and on-premises systems. The position is crucial for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical databases supporting core business applications. Position Overview for the Senior Oracle Database Administrator Manage, monitor, and support Oracle database environments (11g through 23c) across OCI, AWS, and on-prem platforms. Administer multi-tenant architectures, RAC, and Data Guard configurations to ensure high availability and performance. Lead cloud migration, modernization initiatives, and hybrid connectivity strategies. Monitor performance proactively using industry-standard tools and tune databases for optimal operation. Implement backup, recovery, security, and compliance strategies to safeguard enterprise data. Requirements for the Senior Oracle Database Administrator: Extensive hands-on experience supporting enterprise Oracle databases with strong SQL and PL/SQL skills. Deep understanding of Oracle database concepts including process, memory, storage, ASM, and cloud infrastructure. Experience managing Oracle databases in OCI and AWS environments, including Autonomous DB, Exadata Cloud, and RDS Oracle. Proven ability to lead cloud migration projects and implement automation using Shell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform. Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, high availability, security, and compliance best practices. What's in it for you?
