Help us care for our residents by providing a clean, neat, and safe environment. Symphony Manor is seeking a part-time 2p-10p housekeeper including weekend rotation.

Housekeepers ensure the health and wellbeing of our residents by providing essential services. This individual will be responsible for helping to maintain the cleanliness of all facility areas, including but not limited to, resident rooms, common areas and offices.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and dispose of trash and other trash in such a manner that prevents the transmission of disease and does not create a nuisance or fire hazard, nor a breeding place for insects and rodents.

·         Perform daily housekeeping functions in resident rooms and common areas

·         Clean and sanitize bathrooms, fixtures, floors, carpets, walls, and ceilings

·         Complete cleaning when residents are discharged or transferred to another room

• Maintain cleanliness of general areas and assigned rooms of residents.

• Practice infection control principles in cleaning methods and personal hygiene.

• Keep cleaning compounds and hazardous substances stored properly for the protection of residents and staff.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Working knowledge of the properties of various cleaning substances, ability to understand and follow verbal and simple written instructions; ability to stand, stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time; thoroughness; dependability; physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: There are no education or experience requirements. Applicants must be able to perform light to moderately heavy physical labor and be able to read and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

The starting hourly rate for this position falls between $16.00 and $17.00 per hour. Exact hourly placement within this range is determined in good faith based on a candidate's relevant history and overall experience.
