Optometric Technician

Role Overview: An Optometric Technician supports optometrists by performing initial patient testing and assisting in delivering a high-quality Total Patient Experience. Key Responsibilities Operate optical equipment such as lensometers, autorefractors, keratometers, retinal cameras, visual fields, GDX, or OCT. Follow testing protocols and scripting to ensure accurate patient assessments. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and uphold HIPAA and company policies. Build positive relationships with patients and team members, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy. Support general office duties and maintain a patient-focused, team-oriented environment. Adapt to schedule variations, including working on weekends or extended hours if needed. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED required; ophthalmic or medical office experience preferred. Minimum one year of customer or patient interaction experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform physical activities, including walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs., and using fine motor skills.
