Facilities Records Analyst

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Facilities Records Analyst / CAD Technician to support a large manufacturing facility in Cordova, Illinois. This is a dedicated onsite position responsible for maintaining accurate facility drawings, as-built documentation, and CAD records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD, architecture, engineering, drafting, or facilities documentation and will be comfortable working independently within an active manufacturing environment. This individual will serve as a key liaison between facility leadership, internal business units, engineers, vendors, contractors, and other onsite personnel to ensure facility documentation accurately reflects existing conditions.

Candidates should have at least 3+ years of strong AutoCAD experience , with additional experience in Revit considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated onsite CAD and facilities documentation resource at the Cordova, IL facility.
• Partner with facility and plant leadership to assess existing building and equipment conditions.
• Update CAD drawings and facility documentation to accurately reflect current as-built conditions.
• Review existing drawings against actual field conditions and identify discrepancies.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of facility drawings and documentation.
• Maintain an organized digital database of drawings, as-built files, and facility records.
• Ensure CAD files are accurate, current, accessible, and properly version-controlled.
• Coordinate with internal departments, engineers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to verify facility conditions.
• Conduct field walks and assessments as needed to validate existing layouts and conditions.
• Translate field observations, project changes, and construction modifications into updated CAD documentation.
• Identify missing, outdated, or inaccurate documentation and work with appropriate parties to resolve issues.
• Communicate documentation status, outstanding items, and project updates to facility stakeholders.
• Manage multiple documentation priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency across the facility's drawing and records database.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional AutoCAD experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience working with commercial, industrial, manufacturing, architectural, engineering, or facilities CAD documentation.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD .
• Experience with Revit is strongly preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Drafting Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Experience working with as-built drawings, record drawings, construction documentation, or facilities documentation.
• Ability to assess existing field conditions and accurately translate findings into CAD updates.
• Experience maintaining organized digital drawing and documentation databases.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy and quality control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with facility leadership, internal employees, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
