This is an aggressive, boots-on-the-ground field sales role. You won’t be sitting behind a desk waiting for inbound leads. You will spend your days walking directly into independent car dealerships, commanding the room with Owners and General Managers, running live software demos, and closing recurring software subscriptions.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Dominate the Territory: Proactively visit independent car dealerships throughout Northern Virginia, DC, and surrounding territories through in-person cold walk-ins, canvassing, and targeted outreach.
• Engage Decision-Makers: Bypass gatekeepers and hold direct, peer-to-peer conversations with Dealer Principals, General Managers, and BDC Directors.
• Demonstrate Immediate ROI: Run compelling live software demonstrations (in-person on a tablet/laptop or virtually) showing how Motago AI captures lost leads, cuts response times to seconds, and packs their showroom with appointments.
• Close New Accounts: Overcome objections, negotiate SaaS agreements, ask for the sale on the spot, and consistently hit weekly and monthly dealership signup targets.
• Manage Your Deal Funnel: Run persistent multi-channel follow-up campaigns (calls, texts, emails) and maintain an organized sales pipeline from initial drop-in to signed contract.
• Collaborate Directly with Leadership: Work side-by-side with Motago AI’s founders to deliver dealer market feedback, refine the sales playbook, and help shape our national expansion.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

• The Hunter Mentality: Highly competitive, resilient, and self-directed. A cold walk-in doesn't intimidate you—it excites you.
• Dealership Savvy: 1–3 years of sales experience. Automotive sales or dealership floor experience is strongly preferred (e.g., Car Sales, BDC Manager, Used Car Sales, Automotive SaaS/Vendor Rep). You know how dealers think and speak their language.
• Demonstration & Closing Power: Natural ability to showcase tech simply, connect software features directly to dealership revenue, and close deals without hesitation.
• Field Readiness: A valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and enthusiasm for being on the road visiting dealerships daily.
• Coachability & Tech Fluency: Quick learner who easily navigates CRM tools, modern sales software, and mobile devices.
