Come grow with us!Job Title: Electronics/Cable TechnicianTorch is seeking an Electronics/Cable Technician to support the assembly and integration of electronic and cable systems used in commercial, aerospace, and defense applications. This role works closely with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing team members to build high-quality electro-mechanical assemblies in a fast-paced, regulated environment.As an Electronics/Cable Technician your duties will include the following but are not limited to:Fabricate and assemble cable harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies, including small and intricate componentsInterpret and follow mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and manufacturing documentationCollaborate with design engineers to understand and execute assembly requirementsPerform assembly tasks in accordance with AS9100 quality standardsSupport production planning, work instructions, and parts list developmentCommunicate effectively within cross-functional manufacturing teamsRequired QualificationsU.S. CitizenshipElectronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school or related experience.2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturingAbility to obtain and maintain an active DoW clearanceHands-on experience with cable harness fabrication and mechanical assemblyExperience assembling electro-mechanical systems, including small-scale assembliesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematicsWorking knowledge of production planning and quality control in an AS9100 environmentSufficient computer skills to support manufacturing documentationStrong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environmentAbility to thrive in an agile, fast-paced settingPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Deltek Costpoint, ECI M1, or equivalent MES systemsExperience performing testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assembliesExperience using chemicals in manufacturing processes (e.g., potting)Advanced soldering skills, including:0.4 mm pitch surface-mount components0201 discrete packagesExperience working under a microscopeKnowledge of electronic component handling requirementsFamiliarity with ESD and FOD standardsCurrent or prior certifications:IPC/WHMA-A-620IPC-A-610J-STD-001IPC 7711/7721Workplace safety is a priority at Torch. Candidates must receive and present an OSHA 10-Hour Training Course for General Industry certification (either a card from the Department of Labor or certificate of completion from an authorized trainer) within the first 90 days of employment.
