Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Manufacturing Operations Engineering Team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer based out of Baltimore, MD.What You’ll Get to Do:Process DevelopmentDeveloping new and maintaining or improving existing manufacturing processes with a focus on affordabilityDeveloping methods for process monitoring using existing and new interfacesWorking in cross functional teams to develop new data, software, and database applications to support current and future manufacturing needsProviding ROI justification for process improvementsSpecifying, identifying and procuring new manufacturing equipment for production readiness and preparing equipment for production with a focus on the machine integration and data collectionDeveloping and optimizing process parametersDeveloping/revising process documentation and work instructionsFactory SupportAssist the floor in optimization of process monitoring for process yields, cost, and process stability and capabilityWork with the floor personnel to resolve technical issues, specializing in IT and human/machine interfaceRecommending and implementing quality improvements based on the above metricsCreating, validating and maintaining automatic equipment programsAssisting with the training of new personnel and participating in the design of operator training materialsSupporting factory maintenance personnel with the troubleshooting and repair of process equipmentInterfacing with equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issuesDesign SupportRecommending product design improvements required to produce advanced microelectronics productsDocumenting state-of-the-art process capabilities and guidelines for product designersParticipating in design producibility reviews for new productsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience or Master’s and 3+ in Engineering or related STEM area.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience using MS Office software applicationsAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearanceU.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Lean Six SigmaExperience working with microelectronics technology and materialsExperience with soldering, connections, building microelectronics and computersFamiliarity with J-STD and MIL-STD requirements and Space Class hardware requirementsPrimary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
