The facility provides strong clinical support and is equipped to handle complex cardiac and thoracic cases, offering an excellent environment for advanced practice providers to work alongside experienced surgical teams.

Opportunity:
Certified - Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Details:

• Provide locum tenens coverage for day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Perform rounding in the ICU with pre and post-cardiac surgery patients
• Manage patients coming off ventilators following surgical procedures
• Care for patients exiting the OR following open heart surgeries, VATS, and lung cases
• Average patient census of 10-15 patients on service at any given time
• OR experience with vein harvesting is strongly preferred
• Active Texas license or IMLC required to be considered
• Board certification required; ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 5-7 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
