Animal Caretaker (1st Shift)

Job Description

Job Description

The  Animal Caretaker is the person who walks those rows, watches the birds, and catches the small problems before they turn into big ones. Egg lines back up. Ventilation drifts. A door gets left unlatched. Somebody has to notice.

The operation is an egg production facility in Holland, Michigan, running automated environmental and egg flow systems inside climate-managed poultry houses. Barn temperature tracks with the weather outside, noise stays moderate, and airborne particles and moving mechanical parts are part of the setting. Personal protective equipment is required in certain areas.

What We Offer Our Animal Caretaker Position:

• $17.33 per hour
• Five days per week with two days off, weekends required
• Weekly pay
• Consistent, year-round schedule inside a controlled production environment
• On-the-job training on environmental systems, egg flow computers, and bird handling procedures
• A $100 bonus for every friend you refer to us, plus an additional $25 bonus for your referral to WSI
• Path to permanent hire based on attendance, reliability, and job performance

• One year in an agricultural environment or animal care preferred

If you have worked around livestock and know that the job is equal parts routine and attention, this one will feel familiar. The birds need the same things every day, and the value you bring is showing up and doing it right every day. Reach out and we will get you scheduled.
