We are looking for a Shipping Team Lead for 1st shift. This position will be based at our Wendell, NC location. As a Team Lead, you will manage all aspects of shipping. Our Lead position requires basic warehousing skills and will be responsible for all aspects of material handling. Candidates will be handling inbound materials, auditing, replenishment, and will also perform put-away and inventory tasks. Hourly Rate : 24.79 You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience working in the shipping department of a manufacturing plant. 3+ years’ experience with Forklifts (Reach truck, sit down, Cherry pickers) Proficient in using SAP – ERP system and RF Devices. Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and resolve conflict in a professional manner. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED

Problem solving (A3, 8D, etc) As the Shipping Team Lead, you will: Safely operates a stand-up reach truck, stand-up order picker, sit-down forklift, and drives a Yard Jockey to position trailers for loading/unloading; proficient with small hand tools, battery, electrical, and air power tools. Accurately receives incoming materials, supplies, and products; verifies shipments, inspects condition, files damage claims, and records received items per established procedures. Maintains and manages inventory while ensuring adherence to 5S+, Lean principles (8 Wastes, VSM, Kaizens, Standard Work), and continuous process improvement. Adheres to developed processes and methods, while also identifying opportunities for improvement. Empowers the team by participating in equipment/work area cleaning for safety and functionality, and supports new employee training and SAP system access setup.
