Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a substance use treatmentorganization offering comprehensive behavioral health programs,including medication-assisted recovery, to individuals with substanceuse disorders (SUDs) and co-occurring mental health conditions. Withover 25 years of experience and multiple locations across the state,we provide a full continuum of care for substance use disorder, fromprevention and harm reduction to treatment and recovery support. Ourprograms integrate FDA-approved medications for the treatment ofsubstance use disorders, including all three medications approved totreat opioid use disorder (buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone).We strive to meet our patients where they are, bringing care outsideclinic walls via telehealth and mobile services and ensuring patientshave access to harm reduction resources and education. Looking for candidates with personal lived experiencesregarding substance use disorder and recovery. Conduct outreach to people who use drugs, people experiencinghomelessness, and communities. Also, educate on overdose preventionand distribute overdose prevention supplies. Describe FGC programs, services, and eligibility requirements inlayman’s terms to people struggling with opioid and alcohol addictionand those at risk of overdosing, as well as family members or friendsof people struggling with addiction, informing and assisting them togain immediate access to treatment. Develop and direct prospective referrals to FGC and other treatmentproviders, as appropriate and following patients’ needs and wishes. Conduct field-based spectrometer testing, including running sampleson the FTIR, interpreting results in consultation with the manager andexternal experts, explaining results to the sample provider, andlogging all data. Collaborate with external expert drug checkers to stay informed aboutemerging drug supply trends and advancements in drug-checking techniques. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:00a - 3:30p) Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a Drug Free Environment(including THC and/or CBD). DCFS clearance required. Experience and Skills: Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma orequivalent is required. Lived experience with substance use and beingin stable recovery is a requirement for this position. Preference willbe given to individuals who also have working knowledge ofmedication-assisted treatment (MAT), drug-free recovery programming,and hospital-based medical detox admission and discharge processes.Familiarity with federal and state confidentiality laws is essential. Certification as CRSS is preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Possess andmaintain a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
