Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily

Overview Job Title: Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily Canyon Grove Apartments. The position is responsible for maintaining communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times, and supporting a high-performing on-site team. Responsibilities Ensure the smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment. Assist the Property Manager with overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, and related activities. Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease and renewal paperwork to meet company standards. Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic. Support the team by modeling Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company. Assist the on-site team with day-to-day operations in alignment with Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures. Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary. Maintain residents’ files in accordance with company standards. Foster a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up. Manage and monitor all aspects of the community budget and finances. Collaborate with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met. Competencies Effective communication and customer service skills. Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation. General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with strong oral and written communication. Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting to improve performance. Supervise day-to-day operations of the team and ensure policy compliance. Work with leasing staff to achieve leasing/marketing goals. Ability to manage a team. Perform other related duties as required or assigned. Education & Experience Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required. Experience: 3+ years of Property Management experience; 1+ years of Management experience. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. Regularly uses standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines). Regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions may be required. Physical Demands Demonstrated ability to stand and walk for extended periods; ascend/descend staircases, ladders, or step stools; travel between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. May be required to remain stationary for up to 85% of the time. Travel up to 15% of the time. Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, frequently, and constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Other Duties This job description is not exhaustive. Benefits & Compensation Cushman & Wakefield provides eligible employees with a comprehensive benefits package, generally including health, vision, dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid time away from work. Compensation ranges from $23.80 to $28.00 hourly, depending on eligibility factors, location, and experience. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
