Assistant Property Manager

Overview Assistant Property Manager (Commercial) 6-8 Week Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Dallas, TX Location: Dallas, TX (Heart of Downtown, just outside the Historic District) Schedule: Monday-Friday | Fully Onsite Duration: 6-8 Week Contract (Medical Leave Coverage) Are you a detail-oriented commercial property professional who enjoys keeping operations running seamlessly while building strong tenant relationships? We're seeking an Assistant Property Manager to step in and support a well-maintained commercial portfolio during a medical leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience with a respected commercial real estate team while making an immediate impact. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day operational support for a portfolio of commercial properties. Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants, vendors, and ownership, ensuring exceptional customer service. Coordinate maintenance requests, work orders, and vendor scheduling while following projects through completion. Assist with lease administration, tenant move-ins and move-outs, and maintaining accurate property records. Process invoices, track expenses, and support accounts payable/accounts receivable functions. Prepare reports, maintain property files, and ensure documentation is current and organized. Support the Property Manager with inspections, vendor management, and special projects as needed. Help ensure properties remain compliant with company standards and operational procedures. Qualifications At least 1-3 year of commercial property management experience is required. Experience supporting commercial office, retail, industrial, or mixed-use properties. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with property management software such as Yardi, MRI, or similar is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
