Accounts Receivable Clerk
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for processing and monitoring inbound payments and for maintaining associated records, receipts, and transaction histories.
Job Responsibilities
- Scan and index tickets and payments into Onbase system.
- Process customers' requests and payments over the phone.
- Edit tickets in the computer systems to reflect changes on the hard copy.
- Maintain hard copy filing system and data files.
- Assist customers and answer inquiries.
- Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
- Reconcile COD sales and payments.
- Apply payments to customer accounts.
- Make daily bank deposits through check scanning.
- Conforms to and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.
- Complete adjustments on accounts.
- Maintain tax exempt certificates for customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Strong organizational skillset.
- Able to perform duties effectively and efficiently in a time-sensitive environment.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Education and Certificates
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Data entry and Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
- Clear track record of progress in work history.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work, requiring lifting up to 10lbs.
- Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.
- Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.
