Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Matchtech are supporting a key client with the requisition of a Senior FP&A Analyst to join a growing finance team and act as a key business partner to operational and commercial stakeholders. This position will play a lead role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, performance reporting, and strategic decision support, helping drive business performance through data-driven financial insights. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance audiences and influence operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly FP&A activities, including actual vs budget, actual vs forecast, and year-over-year variance analysis. Develop, coordinate, and maintain annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Build financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases to support strategic initiatives and operational decision-making. Analyse revenue, margins, operating costs, working capital, and profitability trends. Partner closely with operational teams to identify risks, opportunities, and cost improvement initiatives. Produce KPI reporting, management information, and executive-level financial presentations. Support pricing strategies, capital investment evaluations, and commercial decision-making through robust financial analysis. Drive process improvements across planning, forecasting, and reporting activities. Ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Support audit activities and maintain compliance with financial governance requirements. Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Commercial, and Corporate Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting. Deliver ad hoc analysis and contribute to strategic projects as required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years' experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Analysis, or Corporate Finance. Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, variance analysis, and management reporting. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis, and financial modelling. Experience analysing historical data to produce accurate financial forecasts. Proven ability to partner with operational teams and support business decision-making. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of US GAAP. Experience using Oracle and SmartView. Experience with Oracle EPM or other enterprise planning and forecasting systems. Experience working with ERP platforms such as Oracle or Oracle Cloud. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CMA, or MBA. Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial, construction, energy, marine, or project-based business environments.
