Program Coordinator, Divinity School

The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, coordinate and administer assigned programs and day-to-day activities related to the Divinity School, Pluralism, Free Inquiry and Belonging Initiative, and Transformative Ideas. The position is funded by a grant through December 31, 2028. Education/Training Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. Experience Work requires one year of experience in program administration or involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Preferred Qualifications (Departmental Preferences) MA/PhD strongly preferred Familiarity with academic humanities programming, especially interdisciplinary activities Work Performed Programmatic Support: Provide on-site support and coordination at events, including student reading groups, lectures, and informal talks (across both Trinity College and Duke Divinity School calendars). Communications Outreach: Manage marketing and outreach to participants and stakeholders as well as academic content for wider audiences to amplify visibility of programs. Summer Program Development: Assist with a new summer residential seminar for underprivileged high school students. University Initiative Support: Assist with planning and executing university-wide Initiative on Pluralism, Free Inquiry, and Belonging. Responsible to plan, promote, and support student-facing meetings, lectures, and events. Coordinate visiting speakers, promote public events in the local community and more widely through communications support. Course Support: Assistance with co-curricular activities related to courses and leading small-group discussion sections for lecture courses. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Anticipated Pay Range Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $44,766.00 to USD $71,706.00.
