Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Behavioral Health Adult C Unit | New Grad

Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls. Worker Type: Regular. Work Shift: rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay Range: $24.50–$33.75 per hour, depending on experience. Position Highlights Adult C Unit is a 26‑bed unit. Opportunity to work with 60+ coworkers in a positive environment. A Brief Overview The LPN practices under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, licensed physician, or other health care provider. The LPN organizes and directs those aspects of care for which the LPN is accountable, communicating and coordinating care with all health team members. Responsibilities Collect data and conduct a focused nursing assessment of the patient’s health status. Participate with other health care providers in the development and modification of the patient‑centered health care plan. Implement nursing interventions within the patient‑centered health care plan. Assist in the evaluation of responses to interventions. Provide for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly. Advocate for the best interests of the patient. Communicate and collaborate with patients and members of the health care team. Assist with health counseling and teaching. Delegate and assign nursing interventions to implement the plan of care.
