Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using validated assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized one-on-one speech therapy focused on effective communication, language development, fluency, voice enhancement, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise synergistic care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and family members to aid in their progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions to ensure a seamless healthcare experience.
• Maintain diligent and timely documentation in accordance with organizational, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field by participating in ongoing education and peer support networks.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting the role.
