Experienced Receptionist/Telephone Attendant for The Eye Clinic of Florida in Zephyrhills

Job Summary: Manage the incoming calls, insurance verification, medial records while performing check in/out functions in an ophthalmic clinic.  Medical or ophthalmology office experience preferred.  We are looking for a proactive individual with strong organizational skills to handle phones, registration, check out and posting charges. We are looking for a friendly team member who can handle a higher volume position with confidence and professionalism. This opening is a full time, Non-Exempt position.

Keys To Success In This Role:

• Field and direct calls in a medical office
• Warm friendly personality with a genuine smile and compassion. 
• Schedule appointments, collecting all necessary data with accuracy
• Collect and process any payments due.
• Must have experience with and knowledge of insurance how insurance works and is filed.
• Post some vision and medical  billing charges.
• Address tasks in a timely manner
• Process medical record releases
• Make patient phone calls
• Verify insurance benefits with accuracy 
• Assist providers and patients at the conclusion of the visit

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Strong team player
• Basic computer proficiency
• Insurance knowledge
• Billing knowledge
• Minimum two years prior experience in a medical office or ASC
• Physical And Mental Demands -must be able lift up to 50 pounds
• Normal physical ability; able to sit or stand for long periods
• Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
• High level verbal and written communication skills
• Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  

Bilingual English/Spanish speakers will be given special consideration
