AP Clerk

Responsibilities Project: Account Payable Clerk in Saint Louis, MO. Summary: The Accounts Payable is responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization. This role ensures that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services. Review and verify calculations of incoming billings, match invoices with purchase orders and statements; check authorization and signatures. Detect and rectify mistakes and discrepancies as they arise. Post entries to the accounting system. Reconcile bills and statements, prepare 1099s and reports. Process checks or Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) for payment of bills. Maintain positive vendor relationships and inter‑department communication. Prepare documentation for external auditors and maintain vendor database. Other essential job functions may exist that are not listed here. Requirements High School diploma/GED or 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable. Good understanding of accounting terminology. Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial systems. General math skills. Good written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills. High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality. Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Strong customer service skills (internal and external). Benefits and Compensation The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
