- # Billing and Insurance Coordinator - Infectious DiseasesApplyremote type: On Campus/Onsitelocations: Washington University Medical Campustime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR95312# **Scheduled Hours**40# **Position Summary**The Billing and Insurance Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting virology patients at WUID with benefits enrollment assistance, navigation, and education.# **Job Description****Primary Duties & Responsibilities:*** Assists virology patients with their enrollment in Medicare, Medicaid, ACA Marketplace plans, sliding fee scale, patient assistance programs.* Receives and approves Ryan White Program coverage requests and inquiries from ID faculty and staff, as well as other specialty providers.* Provides ongoing training for faculty, staff and patients regarding billing, insurance, patient assistance, sliding fee scale, etc.* Distributes information to virology patients regarding their benefits and insurance enrollment, as well as billing.* Assists with the invoicing process.* Ensures insurance/benefits are accurately documented for patients in EPIC and the Statewide CM database.* Works collaboratively with program managers, case managers, and clinical providers to communicate outcomes of benefit navigation.* Completes regular documentation in SCOUT and statewide database and Epic EHR regarding benefits related services and outcomes.* Performs other duties as assigned. **Working Conditions:** Job Location/Working Conditions:* Normal office environment.* Patient care setting.
