Business Development Coordinator (Temporary - Internship)

Note: This is a low-hour micro-internship with a fixed stipend of $50/month for up to 6–8 hours of work per month. We are looking for undergrad / early career college students must be 18+ Overview: August Brook is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to act as the primary bridge between potential clients and August Brook. In this role, you will be the engine behind our growth—actively seeking out paid client opportunities, managing initial outreach, and handling all upfront communications. Your ultimate goal is to identify high-quality leads, nurture them, and seamlessly schedule them into consultation slots so they can meet with the owner to determine fit. Key Responsibilities Targeted Prospecting: Identify and research potential paid clients (local businesses, brands, models, and individual projects) aligned with August Brook’s aesthetic and target market. Outreach Execution: Conduct outbound messaging across key platforms (Email, LinkedIn, and Instagram) using established brand guidelines and outreach templates. Lead Qualification: Serve as the initial contact for inbound/outbound responses, screening leads for basic project alignment, timeline, and budget fit. Scheduling & Intake: Manage initial scheduling for discovery calls and send pre-consultation confirmation details to ensure productive client meetings. Pipeline Tracking: Maintain an organized tracking sheet (CRM/Google Sheets) to log lead status, outreach activity, and upcoming follow-ups. Qualifications & Skills Experience: No prior professional sales or business experience required; participation in school clubs, student government, debate, DECA, or customer-facing part-time jobs is a plus. Communication: Clear, polite, and confident written communication skills. Comfortable drafting emails and direct messages with proper grammar and a professional tone. Organization & Reliability: Highly organized with strong time management skills. Responsive to updates and able to independently manage deadlines around school commitments. Proactivity & Curiosity: Quick learner with an eagerness to research target audiences, identify opportunities, and represent the brand authentically. Tech Comfort: Familiar with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs), Instagram, and basic digital organization tools. What We Offer Competitive Performance-Based Compensation: Flexible contract structure featuring a monthly set stipend plus 10% commission/bonuses for successfully closed client contracts. Up to 6-8 hours per month sometimes will spread out the hours into weekends if needed.
