We created a new category of care: flexible, on-demand childcare and household management, bookable by the hour or in a weekly cadence, backed by a bench of vetted Pros who learn your family's rhythms. Families finally have a way to get the help they actually need with minimal effort. We're building the infrastructure that powers modern family life: a world where parents book care the way they text a friend, where caregivers build real careers doing work they're proud of, and where having support at home just feels normal. We've proven this works in Seattle. Now we're ready to expand to new cities, and we're just getting started. The Role We're ready to take Rosie beyond Seattle! This person will be the primary owner for building and executing on a city expansion playbook and running sprints deep in the market to build a self-running, remote-first operation. You'll manage supply and demand simultaneously, figure out the local team needs, and build the playbook we'll use for future expansions. Then you’ll figure out how to scale us from single city launches to multi-city launches. You'll work directly with our founders and ops team. Travel is an expected part of this job, to both Seattle and the new markets. You'll make real decisions about what works in the market, how Rosie shows up and what the GTM playbook needs to be. Who You Are A marketplace launcher. You've built supply and demand simultaneously in new cities before. You understand the cold start problem, what signals tell you a market is working, and how to adapt quickly when things don't go as planned. Self-directed. You don't need a detailed playbook or constant direction. You get to a new city, observe, figure out what actually matters to the people there, and move. You learn fast and make calls with incomplete information. A people builder. You find good people quickly, spot talent, onboard them fast, and set them up to lead independently. Building a strong local team is half the job—you know this matters more than any process. Grounded in reality. You care about unit economics and metrics, but you also talk to Pros and families regularly. You notice patterns and problems that dashboards don't surface. You trust what you're seeing and hearing on the ground. Honest about what works. You're willing to flag when something isn't working the way we thought it would. If the playbook we brought from Seattle needs to change, you'll say so. Our founders need clear-eyed feedback. What You'll Do Own the complete market launch, from day one through the point where it runs independently Figure out which channels actually work for recruiting Pros (partnerships, word-of-mouth, community groups) in your specific city Identify what resonates with families locally, how to position the product for this market, and how to price and incentivize to make the unit economics work Figure out if we need a local team, then hire, train, and lead them to run the market after you leave Manage the P&L during launch and track what's working, what's costing too much, and what needs to change Make decisions about pricing, partnerships, incentives, and resource allocation based on data and ground intelligence Document the playbook as you go, capturing what works, what failed, and how this city's approach differs from Seattle's so future expansions are smarter and faster Basic Qualifications Experience launching or scaling marketplaces in multiple new cities or markets Experience at a consumer marketplace or two-sided platform managing both supply and demand in a new geography Track record of hiring and building small teams Comfortable working independently and making decisions with limited guidance Strong understanding of unit economics and key marketplace health metrics Ability to spend extended time in a new city and get to know it deeply Preferred Qualifications Experience in childcare, home services, or family care labor marketplaces Track record of hiring and training teams in multiple locations Cross-functional work with product, marketing, and finance teams at growing companies Understanding of how different cities and regions work differently and what that means for go-to-market Experience working closely with founders or on small, scrappy teams where everyone wears multiple hats Why Join Now Ownership: You'll shape how thousands of families and caregivers first meet Rosie in a brand new market.
