Pay: $41.83-$46.17
Schedule: Mon-Fri Hybrid
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBLITIES : Responsible for supervising Adult Mental Health Clinicians, facilitating team meetings, maintaining excellence in clinical service delivery, and overseeing program services as assigned by the Mental Health Adult Manager. Responsible for providing assessment, therapy, crisis response, brief intervention, and case management to adults and families. Delivers culturally relevant, quality services within the framework of the mental health recovery model. Participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, and does related work as required.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS : Reports directly to the Adult Mental Health Manager. Supervises clinicians as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises and provides individual therapy, group therapy, community support (aka case management) and mental health services to individuals enrolled in programs at THS.
2. Ensures prompt, accurate clinical documentation including treatment plans, progress notations in assigned participant files; preparation of treatment contracts, letters, referrals, discharge summaries of terminated participants.
3. Performs work according to established THS policies and procedures. Performs clinical work in an efficient and competent manner and works to achieve THS productivity and quality standards.
4. Knowledgeable of the mental health recovery model and integrates recovery principles into clinical practice.
5. Maintains all program files in a professional and efficient manner according to procedures outlined in the THS clinical manuals and in accordance with WAC (Washington Administrative Code).
6. Develops, maintains, implements crisis and treatment plans with participant’s input with a focus on building upon strengths.
7. Participates in staff meetings, consultations, enrollee presentations, and training programs. Follows through on staffing recommendations for participants.
8. Consults with psychiatric providers, ARNP, or chemical dependency and other professionals as needed.
9. Assists in resolving participant’s issues, as they relate to staffing decisions. Participates in consultations and presentations as needed.
10. Must be able to maintain confidences and handle highly confidential materials.
11. Ability to work well under pressure.
12. Demonstrated leadership ability and must possess tact, integrity, and the ability to make sound decisions. Participates in establishing branch goals and objectives.
13. The Clinical Supervisor participates in the selection, hiring and termination of staff; identifies training needs and provides training, monitors performance, and provides regular performance feedback including annual written performance evaluations.
14. Monitors staff work schedules and use of paid time off, signs-off on bi-monthly time sheets.
15. Accountable for maintaining agency productivity standards with regard to billable hours and number of participants served.
16. Conducts file reviews and appropriate sign-offs for designated staff and monitors WAC compliance at the micro (individual) level. Assures that all participant files are maintained in a professional and efficient manner according to procedures outlined in THS clinical manuals and consistent with applicable WAC (Washington Administrative Code), RCW’s (Revised Code of Washington), and CARF standards.
17. Ensures that culturally relevant services are provided to all participants.
18. Participates in all required meetings, trainings, supervisions, and consultations. Conducts weekly case staffing for assigned supervisees.
19. Participates as part of multi-disciplinary team in admission, treatment, and discharge decisions. Reviews each discharge.
20. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:1. Minimum required is a Fully Licensed Therapist with a Master’s Degree. CDP a plus.
2. At least five years’ work experience providing evaluations and counseling for individuals with mental health disorders, preferably with co-occurring substance use disorders.
3. Possesses experience in working with multi-ethnic populations in outreach, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution skills. Experience in addressing issues of sexual assault, domestic violence, and substance use disorders.
4. Meeting applicable Washington State criteria for an approved supervisor.
5. Valid Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
6. Experience providing supervision to clinical staff both individually and in groups.
7. Demonstrate ability/willingness to work with a diverse group of participants, co-workers, and community service providers/referral sources.
8. Experience in working with a variety of therapeutic models.
9. Experience in engaging and involving families in the treatment process.
10. Experience conducting multi-dimensional assessments and interventions with participants and their families, as well as other relevant systems impacting participant’s lives (e.g. family, peers, school and neighborhood).
11. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other service systems and community members.
12. Knowledge and understanding of participant/family-centered and strengths-based practice principles.
13. Knowledge of community resources and referral/follow-up processes.
14. Strong written and oral communication skills.
15. Computer proficiency.
16. Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to use a computer and telephone, as well as other standard office equipment
- Mobility requirements may involve navigating various work areas, including stairs or ramps.
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, and/or carry supplies up to 25 pounds
- Work takes place in a social services environment where long periods of sitting, working on a computer, and standing (with accommodations provided for specific positions).
- Travel to program sites and meetings outside the site and around the county are necessary
- Ability to work in an environment where there may be animals present, including dogs
