As an R&D Electrical Engineering Intern , you will be assisting with the design and development of innovative electromechanical products for Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Therapies (ICVT) division within Boston Scientific. These products are used for intravascular imaging that enhances procedural visualization and decision-making, ultrasound ablation therapy, treatment of coronary arterial disease, and other indications. This division strives to innovate and create a paradigm shift that can solve unmet clinical needs and change what is possible for patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to the development and testing of innovative electronic systems
• Apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills to perform meaningful electrical engineering work in an R&D environment
• Design, prototype, assemble, and test electronic components and subsystems
• Write and execute test protocols and reports
• Effectively communicate test and analysis results to a variety of audiences
• Ensure engineering solutions align with clinical needs, regulatory standards, and patient safety requirements
• In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures

Required Qualifications: 

• Must be a rising junior or rising senior (grad dates between Dec 2027 - June 2029)
• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Demonstrated understanding of electrical circuit design and testing.
• Must be able to commit to program dates May 17th - August 6th or May 24th – August 13th, 2027
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the Arbor Lakes Boston Scientific location in Maple Grove, MN

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Altium Designer
• Experience with circuit simulation tools such as PSpice or similar software
• Experience with electrical test equipment including power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.
• Experience with statistical data analysis methods and tools
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams
• Passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions
• Previous hands-on engineering internship or co-op experience
