Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time About the role: As an R&D Sustaining Engineering Intern, your role is focused on optimizing and sustaining commercial intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) products used in interventional cardiology that diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. This role offers a unique chance to gain exposure to the lifecycle management of commercial IVUS technologies through support of design improvement and supply continuity objectives. You will build relationships with professionals in a diverse range of fields, inspiring people to embrace a culture of continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include: Design and Testing : Assist in design change activities to improve or maintain supply of commercial products including feasibility studies, test method development, and product testing. Problem-Solving and Compliance : Support investigations into failure modes, perform root cause analyses, and develop solutions to address technical challenges. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, marketing, design assurance, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs, to ensure successful project execution. Documentation and Reporting : Prepare and review engineering documentation, including design change analysis, technical reports, design history files, and regulatory submissions. Present project updates and technical insights to engineers and managers. Required Qualifications Must graduate between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 Currently pursuing a bachelors or graduate degree in Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
