Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Bicycle Patrol Driver
As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Bicycle Patrol Driver in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a retail and neighborhood environment, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols by bike and vehicle, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist residents, visitors, and tenants with exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally, report observations, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Job Schedule:
DayTime Thur 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, residents, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and neighborhood property location.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, surrounding sidewalks, and property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report unusual conditions, maintenance issues, or policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to ride a bike is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
