- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Swing Shift: Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Location: Fremont, CA
Pay Rate: $34.00 - 37.00/h
About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Precision Welder with strong MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding skills to join a high-quality manufacturing team. This role focuses on welding precision sheet metal components made from stainless steel, aluminum, and steel while maintaining tight tolerances and exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
- Perform precision MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and steel.
- Set up weld fixtures and equipment to meet engineering specifications.
- Use measuring instruments including calipers, weld gauges, and tape measures to verify accuracy.
- Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, and screw guns.
- Perform quality inspections and repair or rework welded components as needed.
- Maintain welding equipment through preventative maintenance.
- Follow all quality and safety procedures while maintaining a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years of precision welding experience in frame or sheet metal manufacturing
- Ability to maintain tight tolerances of ±0.03 thousandths
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Ability to set up and maintain welding equipment
- AWS Certifications (D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6) or ASME Section IX certification are a plus
- Must successfully complete a hands-on welding assessment
