Job Description:
•Complies with Federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
•Road test vehicles when required, to quality check work performed
•Communticate with dispatch to obtain what equipment nees to be serviced/repaired
•Maintain a clean working environment
•Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
•Keeps shop equipment operating
•Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options
•Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock
•Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and preplacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, pars, or systems, such as power trains, drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics
•Completes machine shop operations just to name a few, would be making adjustments, systems, control linkages, clutches, and tration units
•Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules
•Installing component and part upgrade procedures
•Controlling corrosion and completing winterization procedures
