Position Overview

The Chief Estimator will provide overall leadership and direction for the estimating function, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment across all projects. This role will play a critical part in developing best practices, mentoring the estimating team, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously develop the estimating team with a strong team-first mindset
• Oversee the estimating process across all trades
• Establish and maintain standardized procedures, methods, and processes for:
• Estimating and scope reviews
• Customer relationships
• Training and development
• Bid proposal preparation
• Software management
• Cost analysis
• Product inventory scheduling and review
• Collaborate closely with Preconstruction, Operations, and Business Development teams
• Stay current with industry tools, software, and technological advancements
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical estimating
• Proven leadership experience within an estimating function
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems
• Proficiency with estimating software
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
