Job Description

The Chief Estimator - Healthcare and Lab Construction in Boston will:

• Lead the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for healthcare and laboratory construction projects.
• Analyze project proposals, blueprints, and specifications to determine accurate cost projections.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project scope and pricing.
• Maintain and update a database of unit costs and historical data for future reference.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering recommendations.
• Prepare and present detailed cost reports to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Oversee and mentor junior estimating staff to ensure professional growth and development.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Estimator - Healthcare & Lab Construction should have:

• Strong knowledge of construction estimation processes, particularly in healthcare and laboratory projects.
• Proficiency in relevant estimation software and tools.
• Management/leadership experience (this role will be overseeing a team of estimators).
